The water on the streets, roads and highways is a mixture of rainwater plus all the oily fluids other cars drip onto the road as they are being driven. These oily fluids mix with the rainwater and the cars driving in front of you naturally spray this dirty, oily water mixture onto your car. Now you have corrosive brake dust sticking to the oily road grime on your car’s wheels and the more time goes by the dirtier your wheels become.
